At Debian sid, after an update with Synaptic sane, xsane, my scanners were not recognised anymore. Uninstalled them, deleted the files, installed with Synatic again:
sane-find-scanner found SCSI scanner "FUJITSU M3092DCd AF10" at /dev/sg4 found SCSI scanner "FUJITSU M3096GXim 02" at /dev/sg5 scanimage -L gave nothing. The sane backend was not reinstalled. $ uname -r 3.0-4.slh.1-aptosid-amd64 $ gcc -v gcc version 4.6.3 (Debian 4.6.3-8) COLLECT_LTO_WRAPPER=/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.6/lto-wrapper Target: x86_64-linux-gnu Even sane-backends-1.0.22 make ended make[2]: *** [libv4l_la-v4l.lo] Error 1 Fehler 1 sane-frontends-1.0.14 make ended make[1]: *** [gtkglue.o] Error 1 Fehler 1 But with sane-backends-git20120807 sane-frontends-git20120807 make was fine & everything worked again! In addition both scanners are now working in a row at one SCSI Port. I guess, that wasn't working at my old version. Wrote this lines, perhaps others got same problem (with manuals) ;-) Great Job. Thank you very much!
