After weeks of trying I managed to get scanimage ?L to see my Canoscan LiDe30. The solution was to remove the Button Managers installed by the Canon installation. The idea came from this location

I can now get Snow Leopard to see the scanner by adding SANE as the scanner in System Preferences and it will also scan using the TWAIN ? Sane Interface. However I cannot get the scanner recognises in either GIMP2 or Image Capture ? they see SANE but say no scanner selected. Trying to use xsane just gets no device. I can scan using SANE which is great but just to feel that the problem hasn?t beaten me I would love advice on how to get Image Capture and GIMP to see SANE and work with it. -- Graham Charles -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
