Trying to use a nice shiny new Epson SX515W printer/scanner/copier device from an Ubuntu 9.10 64bit laptop:
$ scanimage -V scanimage (sane-backends) 1.0.20; backend version 1.0.20 $ scanimage -L device `epson2:192.168.0.10' is a Epson PID flatbed scanner $ scanimage -T scanimage: scanning image of size 632x877 pixels at 1 bits/pixel scanimage: acquiring gray frame, 1 bits/sample scanimage: reading one scanline, 79 bytes... FAIL Error: Error during device I/O $ (SX515W LCD shows 'Scanning' but device is hung and needs to be powered off) Any suggestions how to proceed gratefully received... Thanks - John
