Xsane on Ubuntu 9.10 does recognise my Canon Lide 35 scanner and is ready to work, but gets stuck by this message when attempting a preview or scan:
With or without sudo, scanimage -L returns this: WARNING: Unhandled message: interface=org.freedesktop.DBus.Introspectable, path=/, member=Introspect device `genesys:libusb:002:006' is a Canon LiDE 35/40/50 flatbed scanner Maybe I just have to get rid of this message in some config file ? Strangely, Canon's own tool box on OSX says it cannot launch the scanner driver. Would there be anything wrong with the firmware of the scanner ? Finally, I also try a Lide 20 on Xsane and the error message is about the I/O module. Thanks for all good suggestions !
