That includes amending via git commit --amend and any kind of rebase involving the commits that are already pushed out. Pushed out = set in stone. If something bad went out, it has to be fixed in a new commit. It's very tempting to fix "broken" commits to make them look good, but you can only do that so long as you do not push to the tree on Alioth.
