I am using the ADF on an HP OfficeJet 5500 Series. It feeds properly, up to the point where the scanner runs out of documents, returning SANE_STATUS_EOF. The final sheet is not ejected, even after calling sane_cancel.
The sheet is only ejected after calling sane_close. Whilst I appreciate that the HPLIP drivers have nothing to do with the SANE project apart from using the SANE API, before reporting the problem to HP, I wanted to gauge whether this is normal behaviour, and if there is any known workaround.
