Olaf Meeuwissen, Are there plans for iscan to support the V200's power button? I assume this is very difficult to code, or you would have done it already? The only way I have to turn off my V200 is to pull the power cable. My AC wall plug is not easily accessible and I'm sure the DC connector on the scanner is not made for this kind of duty cycle and will soon wear out. I suppose I could cut the power cable and install an inline switch. Not a very eloquent solution though and voids my warranty.
Thanks As to the conversation of iscan/epkowa using evil binary only code. I would have bought another scanner with open source drivers, but I could not find one with the V200 specs (which my project requires) and price point (I have budgetary restraints). In fact the other scanners I found in the V200's class were not supported at all by Sane. So my hands were tied. A manufacture with open drivers would have taken this sale, it seems like they would notice that opportunity? ____________________________________________________________________________________ You rock.
