I mailed Allan earlier as well. I've been very busy the last days and this minutes, but will check what I have in my SVN tonight or tomorrow. Please do not just revert, the Avision backend got tons of new feature and recent device support in the meantime and those HP scanners are old age USB 1 devices anyway. I mailed Allan already that those people might have other ASICS with other hardware bugs or whatever. That said I even test the HP 5300 and HP 7400 every few months as I ahve them on the desk as well and they just work (know there are other ASIC revisions, but I did not yet got a touch on all, if someone has a Avision based, old HP to spare that does not work just donate it and I'll fix it :-) Would help a lot of they could bisect from my fine-grained SVN or read the code and provide a patch.
