FWIW, these numbers (may) change whenever you replug or power cycle the device or reboot your machine. What are the permissions on the device? $ ls -l /proc/bus/usb/004/005 > This worked a month ago within an hour of bringing it home from the > store. Not now because I changed/upgraded the OS. Doh! What does $ SANE_DEBUG_EPKOWA=50 iscan say? You can also try this with xsane or scanimage. If you don't have iscan installed, you can use this device also with the snapscan backend . In that case $ SANE_DEBUG_SNAPSCAN=50 scanimage > I had, there was a super a-z guide for this scanner I cant find it > :-( . Would you be refering to the user's guide that's downloadable from the same place as the iscan package(s)? http://www.avasys.jp/english/linux_e/dl_scan.html > Does anyone have/know of a really good trouble shooting/ > installation guide for this scanner.
