I was getting such things when sending (presumably) invalid commands to the scanner, but with the original code and the last firmware (EPSON GT-F520 1.08 Thu Apr 14 2005 14:32) it works. A more detailed debug log might reveal what's wrong. -- Krzysztof Halasa
