In principle, the SANE API isn't based on a type of operating system. The implementation of sane-backends, however, expects to be built on a Unix-like system. So I guess porting (parts of) SANE to DOS will be quite a lot of work especially considering how to access SCSI or USB devices at all. Bye, Henning
