Still trying to resolve the issues with the 2480 scanner when using the transparency unit. Using gimp and the "Acquire Image..." with xsane also results in messed up preview area. The scans are still not usable, but getting closer. From Gimp, the number of color bands is reduced by half. I'm not sure why, but the resulting scans are still not usable.
Still looking for any pointers. ken
