Hi All,

I would like to know if someone succeed to install a HP scanjet 8200 on
linux.

I tried the normal distribution without any success (using avision).
Then I found on the net a driver posted by D.Tratavel
(http://www.cyberbaladeur.fr/telechargement.html) but after compiling
every things and following all the advise, I got the following error:

scanimage: relocation error: /usr/lib/sane/libsane-hp8200.so.1: undefined
symbol: sanei_usb_init

I must note that runing sane-find-scanner, it did find it:
> found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0 [hp], product=0x0b01 [hp scanjet 8200]) at
> libusb:005:012
> # Your USB scanner was (probably) detected. It may or may not be supported by
> # SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend's manpage.

I would very much appreciate any tips.
Thank you very much by advance,

JF

Ps: I use Debian-Etch distribution (kernel 2.6.8), and for libsane I
installed the latest release distribution that I found (1.0.15)
