Thanks a lot! I can't wait for the day I can ditch my windows ... > Hi, I've too purchased a Canon Lide 35. The first 2-3 weeks of July I'll have a lot of time to help getting the thing working. I've got some C programming experience. I've got a spare machine on which I can run windows to get logs. After some reading in the mailing list archives, I found out a lot of people started trying to get this backend work, but why didn't anyone succeed yet? Is it because they underestimated the difficulties and gave in? Or just a lack of time? Have they left a "report" about their experiences? What did they try, where did they get stuck? Maybe they couldn't write any code, but maybe they found something out about how the scanner works? Where did they find information? And those who are working on it: can you give me some help some to get me working please? I'll join the irc when I've finished my exams (that won't be until the end of this month). sincerely, Tom Mercelis - -- Jens Luedicke web: http://perldude.de -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFCrFEaiCvkc4H0gTERAoQ4AJ9DEPRTyc77zhhl3YURQQjZ0QQtbwCfbiWy 8HN3eZ5JTOZ3ClSOFR8dBUQ= =Rkdf -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
