[stevko@stevko experimental]$ SANE_DEBUG_GENESYS=255 scanimage -L No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). but sane-find-scanner gives me: found USB scanner (vendor=0x04a9 [Canon], product=0x2213 [CanoScan], chip=GL841) at libusb:004:022 Before the scan image managed to use the proper device, it failed further on different problem. Now it does not even try the device. Stefan -- http://stefan.agentfarms.net First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. - Mahatma Gandhi
