Usually it's done the other way round: You own such a device so you write the backend (driver) for it. This way you'll become member of the sane project. :-) Sometimes it's easy to support a scanner, especially when it uses a chipser that is already supported. But whith completely unsupported devices you can't expect the SANE project to start writing a driver. Especially support for parport scanner isn't anything you do in some hours... Bye, Henning
