Well there are Avision A3 scanners that come wihtout the integrated print driver ASIC. of hand I can list: - AV 8000 (but it is not exactly cheap) - AVA3 (older - no idea if still sold) but just browse some device lists ... The Avision @V5100 has an additional USB 2.0 > (TWAIN) interface. I meant driving the parallel port of the scanner from the host computer to transfer data to the scanner attached printer might not be possible. At least I see nothing in the Avision SPEC that would indicate this.
