"Solarized scans"? Be happy, some people work hard to achieve this effect. :-)
Please try to run the scanner under XSane and use the colour filters of that program. If you scan in raw colour mode, you will have to set gamma to 2-2.5 either in XSane or in whatever program you use to process your image data. Regards, Ulrich Deiters
