Just bought the Epson 2400 Photo scanner and it works great with xsane. Even the transparency/negative part works. However I am having a problem with negatives. I have tried all the available modes such as , standard, kodak and the rest but the results do not turn out right.
I have fiddled with the gamma's, brightness, contrast etc but they either (depending on the negative type) come out with a yellow tint, red tint and some others that are not quite right and no amount of adjusting gets them near to being correct. Is it me, the scanner or sane? This is on Mandrake 9.1 (latest updates), sane-backends-1.0.11-5mdk and sane-frontends-1.0.10-1mdk. -- Registered Linux user 193414 http://counter.li.org "Trying"?
