Hi! A relative just aquired a HP scanjet 3500c as I'm having him move to linu= x=20 (Mandrake 9.0). This scanner is the only equipment not supported.
The USB ID is 0x03f0-0x2205 I don't think there is a well-known backplane available for it , but I=20 understand that knowing the scanner chipset is a necessary step to go in = that=20 direction. So, does anybody has a contact at HP or anywhere else in the industry kno= wing=20 which chipset this scanner use ? The HP installation CD/user manul supports both scanjet 2300c and 3500c i= f=20 that could be a hint (?) Thanks. FD
