I just checked out the latest CVS again and tried compiling under Linux/SPARC -- the problem this time was that ./configure (with whatever parameters) didn't fit in the 16MB RAM --> segmentation fault! Mind you, this thing was built in 1988. So, for the time being, I can't do much more hacking on this, and I haven't got access to other Linux/SPARC machines right now. (Maybe SourceForge or Debian have some in their farms, but I haven't checked.) Anyone else with Linux/SPARC out there who would like to do some testing?
