When you retrieve the latest version from CVS you don't need to apply the diff. If you still want to use the diff file, go into the directory where sanei_usb.c is and run the following command (this assumes that you've saved the diff file in the /tmp directory, substitute the correct path) patch -p0 < /tmp/sanei_usb.diff
