Yes, it's probably a link to /dev/usb/scanner0. Check the permissions of /dev/usb/scanner0, too. On the other hand it wouldn't be displayed by sane-find-scanner if the permissions were wrong... Looks like it's a detection problem inside the backend (?) SANE_DEBUG_EPSON=255 scanimage -L should give more details. Bye, Henning
