I'm using Mandrake 9.0 which comes with sane 1.0.8. It doesn't quite seem to work. vuescan works fine though.
SANE_DEBUG_EPSON=255 scanimage -L [sanei_debug] Setting debug level of epson to 255. [epson] sane_init: sane-backends 1.0.8 [epson] sane_init, >usb /dev/usb/scanner0< [epson] sane_init, >usb /dev/usb/scanner0< [epson] attach(usb /dev/usb/scanner0) [epson] SANE Epson Backend v0.2.21 - 2002-04-22 [epson] attach(usb /dev/usb/scanner0) [epson] attach: opening usb /dev/usb/scanner0 [epson] send buf, size = 2 [epson] buf[0] 1b . [epson] buf[1] 40 @ This just hangs, and I get these messages in /var/log/messages: kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout I added the scanner options to /etc/modules.conf so the scanner module is loaded and like I said vuescan works fine. Any ideas on getting sane working? Thanks -Eli __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New DSL Internet Access from SBC & Yahoo! http://sbc.yahoo.com
