[sane-devel] Epson Perfection 1660 photo -> Driver(s)

Hi.
I have been trying to get my scanner to function on a computer rAMD 1Ghz 
running Linux (RedHat 7.3 also tried Mandrake 8.2)  The computer recognizes 
the scanner and its ID codes but Xsane gives a message "Cannot find drivers". 
I have tried to follow the various leads from the internet but nothing works. 
Help please. John.
