Most countries still define reverse engineering for the purposes of compatible interworking as a specifically lawful thing to do. Without such a thing much of industry would grind to a halt. Only a few things, like the DMCA (Damnable Misdeed of a Corrupt Administration), pull in the other direction. Regards, Steve
