A new sep15 release of the UMAX Astra 1220U backend is now available:

The changes have been made:
- The scanner lamp is now turned off after each scan
- The scan head is returned to the park position after each scan
I have set up a new mailing list for discussions about the backend or
about
the Astra 1220U scanner. You may subscribe here:

That list is now the prefered place to send questions about the backend
(rather than to me personally :)
