It appear that I have some similar problems: sane-find-scanner find my UMAX Astra 1220S but xcanimage is unable to get even a preview. On my side I have a little clue about what is happening: I have a 2.2.x PowerPC kernel and use the Debian sid version of Sane that I suspect build for 2.4.x kernel. I will first rebuild a 2.4 kernel before thinking about reporting a bug Hub --=-Onp4glpMrs6qWf9lGH9w Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQA8e3cqX+4F5qVuFaMRAs/OAKC2yt2ALZGV7UOlXfa6SdyJyORDngCePx29 KcJYERlTpNQb0z4OlEcLyXk= =W26Q -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-Onp4glpMrs6qWf9lGH9w--
