I'm trying to run scanbd. I'm getting the following error:

# /etc/init.d/scanbd start
/etc/sane.d/net.conf should contain a value for connect_timeout ... (warning).
/etc/sane.d/dll.conf should contain only the net backend ... failed!

I haven't changed any configuration in /etc/scanbd . I don't think I've changed any configuration in /etc/sane.d/ but I definitely haven't touched either of those net.conf or dll.conf files. I have no idea how scanbd is getting to those files, because they aren't referenced anywhere in /etc/scanbd/ .

All the relevant packages should be at whatever is in Debian stable.

sane-utils is at 1.2.1-2

scanbd is at 1.5.1-6+b1

I can scan from the command line using scanimage with no problem.

I'm using an Epson ES-C220 .
