can you run the debugviewer next to Servers ALive and check if that logs 
something?

I have configured the gtalk xmpp and  tried regular xmpp with gtalk stuff.  
When I hit the test button nothing happens.  I am running v 2460.  I also added 
it to a check to no avail.  I get infoe alerting xmpp2 but no alert is 
received.
