There was a "request" for a Twitter alert in the first few survey answers. Well
in 2009 we already send a message to the list about this....alerting to Twitter
can already be done with Servers Alive :-)
How?
Create a HTTP GET/POST alert
URL: http://twitter.com/statuses/update.json
change the GET to POST
and the data to post is: status=<the message you want to post>
Enable the PASSWORD PROTECT PAGE option and as username enter you
Twitter username and as password your Twitter password
(the message can ofcourse include the % vars as with all aleters).

[email protected]
If you use auto-responders (like out-of-the-office messages), make sure that
they are not sent to the list nor to individual members. Doing so will cause
you to be automatically removed from the list.
