Some time ago we added the possibility to use a PERSON for the authentication used with Windows based checks (service, process, perfmon & diskspace). Using a person instead of a username/password makes it easier when there is a password change, instead of having to change all the matching entries you only need to change the password for the person. The big work that had to be done was change all your entries and point them to the right person. That's no longer such a big task :-) Today we added a new feature for that. From the telnet/ssh interface you can issue a CONVERT PERSON command. This will go through the list of your entries and for each of the entries using a username/password (service/process/perfmon/diskspace) we will check within the list of people for a person with that NTUserID and make the needed changes to the checking entry. As always with mass-changes: make sure to have a backup of your entries file, just in case ....
Also do NOT forget to SAVE your entries was you did the changes.... Doing so will cause you to be automatically removed from the list.
