That's too bad.  Is there any chance that if the response contains a number, 
then pass it along to the RRD database, otherwise send a zero?

The roundtrip and updown RRD logging can be used.
The checkresult however is a problem.  RRD can log numbers, the checkresult of 
a COM check could be a string (I mean a string that is NOT represening a 
number), that's why it's not possible.

One of the pain points for me and Serves Alive has been that External Com 
checks cannot be used with RRDTool.  I would really like to be able to graph 
the results from WMI, *NIX diskspace, and potentially CountFiles checks, but 
cannot.  Could this be added to the enhancement wishlist?
