Not sure if this is possible to accomplish with SA.

We subscribe to an automated (somewhat) real time backup service which backs up
our servers to NAS devices locally and later / periodically the NAS devices
back up to offsite servers.

Recently had a situation where the service inexplicably stopped backing up one
drive (unfortunately our entire DMS system) from one of our servers and this
situation went unnoticed for weeks. COULD HAVE been bad, but luckily we
survived. This time.

In any event, the backup saves deltas every 15 minutes. The process creates
backup "files" with the following naming convention.

C_VOL-b002-innn.spi where nnn appears to be a random numeric string
If the server has a D and/or E drive, it would be named similarly D_vol......
or E_vol.....

The time stamp would reflect the date/time of the delta backup.

What I would like to do is monitor (whether in one consolidated test per server
or multiples) that a recent back up file for each drive actually exists.

(In the example cited earlier, the C backup was running along swimmingly, but
the D backup did not run for a few weeks)

Is there a way to test for the existence of a recently time stamped file (say,
must exist timestamped within the last few hours of the current date/time) with
a wild card name of C_VOL*.SPI or D_VOL*.SPI?

Thanks!
