Have I missed a mail I don’t see anything concerning taskkill or
tasklist. The screenshot is of taskmgr.exe
Also you can use them against remote systems with the /S switch or do I
misunderstand the emails I see don’t seem to match up.
But I think the problem is SA is hanging on a check for whatever reason even
were he to successfully kill the process this would not be a fix for his
problem?

Have a problem with (I assume) SA killing the server its running on.
The Servers Alive service runs as an application (not a service) due to one of
the checks needing to be logged on.
On looking on the server we see the following:

I can’t end task or end process on any of these so the only way out of
the situation is to reboot the server.
