I’ve answered my own question:

Use the built in “Reg” command line application and put it into the
check as an External (errorlevel) check.

Syntax is:

reg compare \\REMOTEMACHINENAME\hklm\KEYTOCHECK1
(file:///\\REMOTEMACHINENAME\hklm\KEYTOCHECK1)
\\REMOTEMACHINENAME\hklm\KEYTOCHECK2
(file:///\\REMOTEMACHINENAME\hklm\KEYTOCHECK2) /v VALUETOCHECK

Hope this helps someone else.
