If they have a schedule then the sub checks will not run if the parent is not
scheduled to check. (this is all of course if you have depends bing up).

Hi Bill,

When we run checks using Depends on, and that the parent does not respond, the
subsequent checks under the parent are not run. These checks (on the parents)
run all the time and are not subject to schedules.

Hope that answers your question.

Subject: [SA-list] Depends on

Hi,

Does the “Depends on” rule cause all the rules below the parent rule to not
run if that parent rule fails?

Or, if that parent rule has a schedule that it runs by, will it cause all the
rules below it to not run if it doesn’t run?

I couldn’t find a description of how that “Depends on” item works.

Thanks
