One of the plans (and that is not only for the xmpp alert) is to have some type of queueing. The queue (different thread) would keep the connection to the XMPP server open for <number> of minutes before disconnecting, that way you shouldn't get banned anymore. The ban is probably not due to the number of alerts (messages) as such but due to the fact that you (re)connect to often in too little time. Having more then one XMPP config is not in our plans (at least not for now). I'll have to look at how this can be accomplished but it's not as simple as it looks. Maybe this can be done together with the queueing however....

Would like to have more then one XMPP alert configs. We have corporate jabber to send alerts and now I need to setup gtalk alerts. Since both using the same protocol I dont see any way to use both of them at the same time. 2. Would like to be able to set delays between each alert via XMPP. SA constantly getting banned by jabber server due to high numbers of alerts (about 20 or more). Looks like jabber server closing connection and SA does not reconnect. Only one way to fix it is restart SA. -- Best regards, Viktor mailto:[email protected] To unsubscribe send a message with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line to [email protected] If you use auto-responders (like out-of-the-office messages), make sure that they are not sent to the list nor to individual members.
