What do you mean by "not all versions can do this"? Not really sure about Win 2000 since do not manage such servers for the long time but all 2003+ do support connection to null session. Either with /console or /admin switch (depends on RDP version) ...

If you suggest NOT running VNC on the servers hosting SA, what do you suggest using as a remote access client? For example, I am in Arizona and my SA server (standard version 6.2.2279 running on Win2k3SP2) is located in New York. Many thanks, Paul- Paul A. Are you running VNC on the SA server? (Suggest you don't as it has a dramatic effect on performance.) Is your SA GUI set to update the interface during the check cycle in Setup - General - Interface Settings? (Again, strongly suggest you don't as this will *hugely* impact speed - turning this off took our check cycle down from about 8 mins to about 1.) Could an option be added to recreate the page if a check on it changes? Our check cycle takes 10 mins or so and we have a custom web page showing what it up and down. That page can therefore be 10 mins out of date.
