Both the nt-service and the diskspace check are using NetBIOS. Make sure your Win2008 server accepts Netbios calls.

We have recently upgraded one of our servers from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008. On 2003 we ran the following tests without a problem. 1. Ping 2. Check diskspace c:\ etc. 3. Check various nt services After upgrading to Server 2008 we have managed to get the ping working by switching on "File and Printer Sharing (Echo Request - ICMPv4-In)" located in the Windows Firewall Inbound rules. Does anyone know which firewall settings to change so that disk space and nt services checks work? ################################################################################ ##### This e-mail message has been scanned for Viruses and Content and cleared by MailMarshal ################################################################################ ##### To unsubscribe send a message with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line to [email protected] If you use auto-responders (like out-of-the-office messages), make sure that they are not sent to the list nor to individual members.
