Are you using the latest version of your modem driver? The logs aren't very helpful but it may be that each end are not agreeing on AT command specification. I would be more inclined to get a hayes compatible external hardware modem as this should rule out any incompatibilities in this area.

So I used a direct line and have been able to get a connection but still can't send a TXT. I could use some help interpreting the log. In this session below the message seems to have been sent but I get a "Message sending failed. (ID: 6) ( 26315)" error in the TAP Status. Other than the obvious I am not sure what that means.
