That would be an interesting survey to see how many people are running SA on what version OS. Oh sure - I agree! But those changes are how MS operating systems will be from now on, so if SA doesn't support these new changes then I suspect the target marketplace will rapidly shrink, and that'll be a shame because it's great software. It's a shame that MS did some many changes to their OS that apps/service that run fine on NT4/Win2K/XP/Win2003 don't run as expected on Vista.... Thanks Dirk, Just tried that but it didn't work. Looking in task manager, the service is still running as SYSTEM (as you'd expect). It'll be a real shame if SA can't run under Vista.... I think the desktop interaction will only work if the EXE (of the service) is also set to run as administrator (that is IF I remember correctly). I just removed the UK mirrors from the download page, thanks for the heads-up. I'm having trouble running SA (current build) as a service under Vista. Has anyone managed to crack this? Even if I tick the "local system account" option and the option for desktop interaction I can't get the systray icon to appear. The service starts, but I've got no way to control the checks and configuration. Has anyone managed to get it working? P. Oh, p.s., Dirk - the UK mirrors don't appear to be working. _______________________________________________________ This email has been scanned for viruses by MessageLabs.
