Re: [SA-list] Import entry Even if we would 'force' it that way, it still
wouldn't help as they are not automaticly looking for that type of error

No, I meant try to get something on the remote side to do something it won't
allow, say open an administrative share, that would show up in the remote
servers error log right?

How could SA force a new error? That would mean write to the (remote) eventlog
and act as we were the app/service that normaly writes the searched error, that
is technicaly speaking not possible.

Could you have SA force a new error? That way you could have something to test
against...

Sorry, but no.
There is no real use in checking old message, so we don't want to have the
checker check those.

Ohh, okay. Its kinda hard to test to be sure its working if this message
doesn't come up very much, but needs to be checked anyways. Could this be
added on the wishlist as an option, if possible?

It will only find NEW entries not the old entries that are already in the
log...

I am trying to monitor the Event log for a specific error, using ServersAlive
and the external Com EventLog Check, but everytime I try to check something, I
get 0 entries found. Is there anyone else that has had problems with this, or
success, and if so, how?
