All,

I am having a problem with Servers Alive version 4.0.1302.3 on Windows
2000 SP3 where the service fails to start when the server boots up.
There are no event log or SA log messages indicating why, if you view
the service it is set to Automatic, with a user account with the require
privileges, which is not locked out. If you manually start the service
after the server has booted it works fine.

Any ideas on how I might resolve this? I'm not sure if it's an SA
problem or a Microsoft issue, I'm surprised the service doesn't cause
any system event log entries when it fails to start, as far as I can
tell it never even tries.

Is it worth upgrading to version 1376 to resolve this? Is there a way I
can spot when it hasn't started and start it if it hasn't? (I'm guessing
a batch file script?)

Cheers,
