mpmath is also what I would recommend to look into, it also has quadrature 
functions. I still have to warn you, that monte carlo simulations might 
give you biased or simply wrong random results if you mix system floats 
with those arbitrary precision floats. I have no idea what those 
calculations are about, ... but have you thought about working with 
logarithmic numbers to avoid the need to have such arbitrary precision 
floats at all?
