No idea, wow.  Here are some ideas for debugging, though.

1) Try going to http://localhost:8080/home/admin/ 
<http://www.google.com/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A8080%2Fhome%2Fadmin%2F&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNEZgTmKG16Z8rYWwBOnMe2eUTKcSQ>3
 
or some worksheet you know should exist.

2) Make sure your notebook stuff is still there in (presumably) 
~/.sage/sage_notebook.sagenb/home/admin

3) See if there are any unusual messages in the Terminal - usually if 
something is messed up, you will get some error messages there that will be 
quite helpful.

4) The directory structure of Sage has changed since 5.13 - that shouldn't 
really have made a difference, but maybe if you had some unusual startup 
script like init.sage or something I guess it could have messed up and 
caused something to hang?
