I got the latest sage VM for windows 5.11 or whatever but when i start it
up...

1. Chrome is locked on Fullscreen how do I break out of that?
and once i get to a terminal...

2. How do I establish ssh to your vbox

username:sage?
pasword:sage?

machine address:?? (or how to find)
(ifconfig eth0 start ssh etc connect)

3. Command to start and stop sage notebook:

4. Command to get the broadcast ip address:
[ifconfig?]

5. Also as a networking novice, how should i best configure
virtualbox networking settings reset NAT, bridged or local etc?

(I sort of thought it should work without an internet connection,
but I never could figure out the right vbox networking config to do that)

6. Could there be a vagrant script to sort that all out for us poor windows
users?

7. What, no more default notebook? I was making use of that to automate
sage :(

7.5) I know it's strong with algebraic stuff, but is there much going on
in the sage world to do symlink? PLC, PID plant automation simulations etc?

8. How does Sage relate/import/overlap or incorporate ipython notebooks?

9. I read that the William S. was trying to get sync/collaborative
documents working but the way ipython references pages by a temporary
kernel id breaks links and the web badly -- what's the repo/progress for
that work,

10. how does sage do a better job of IDs/ permalinks for it's workbooks?

11. How about indexing/search etc?

12. What does the a move away from Twisted mean?

13. It was weird that the ajax calls i had to make did a lot of polling
can I update/change/improve this now? (i'm happy with ajax calls, not
sockets)

14. Is sage making use of node.js, or is there some node code that can talk
to sage?

15. Are there any projects doing an alternative/different type of notebook
web interface?

16. Has sage become an easily install-able package via apt-get or yum?

17. when i last integrated with sage (1+ years ago) it had the following
action set...

*Jmol**S.Sage**S.gap**S.gp**S.jsmath**S.html**S.latex**S.maxima**S.python**
JmolJS**jsMath**S.R**S.Sh**S.Singular**S.SageCmd**S.Sage-i*

Has it changed much since then? What are the new packages that I can look
forward to using?

18. How does sage operate like a REPL, keeping state for a session? 19. How
is it contained/maintained? 20. How does one work with/renew/explore the
session state?

21. Has there been any streamlining (shell scripts etc) for automatically
creating a secure self hosted workbook server, with security?

I'm not adverse to RTFM (in fact last time I read it and printed it out,
and read it and read it, and searched and tried, and failed and read it and
read some more, and more and more until I got it working, and then came
back and changed things and changed things because it had changed again) --
and i welcome the changes and improvements ~like thanks so much for
dropping firefox in favour of chrome, wow that's so good~ :-) but I suppose
what I'm wanting is a this time a quicker Quick Start guide, does any such
page exist? (one page not 100+ scattered ones), just a series of the
relevant command lines for basic admin start/stop/connect, would be FINE
(bash, cmd, putty, vagrant) where ever they are best applied, that's fine.

thanks so much,

ps.

I have googled for how to minimize chrome (it would be F11, or Alt+F4 on
windows or ctrl+c in a linux terminal, but i don't know how to get to the
desktop, or if it's in terminal mode with some weird screen port), and
what's up with tabbing between the four different fedora desktops none of
which can be seen or work? nice

Once i get ssh and a terminal I will probably be okay, but it maybe
beneficial to have simple summary for others. I had a command line to
VirtualBox startvm "sagevm", one for Jmol load ./eg/caffeine.xyz and all of
the others hooked up via ajax (is there a better clientside api "sage.js"
to make those calls? I don't know). From before running
'/home/sage/sage/sage -optional' gave a list of optional Sage packages.
