Dear all,

I tried to compile 5.11 from source on a linux box running aptosid
(basically Debian Sid) with kernel 3.11, but it stopped when compiling
singular (or it seemed to me):

------------------
Error building Sage.

The following package(s) may have failed to build:

package: singular-3-1-5.p7
log file: /home/sage/sage-5.11/logs/pkgs/singular-3-1-5.p7.log
build directory: /home/sage/sage-5.11/spkg/build/singular-3-1-5.p7

The build directory may contain configuration files and other potentially
helpful information. WARNING: if you now run 'make' again, the build
directory will, by default, be deleted. Set the environment variable
SAGE_KEEP_BUILT_SPKGS to 'yes' to prevent this.

make: *** [build] Error 1
---------------------

I've posted logs at

http://www.math.utk.edu/~finotti/misc/

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Luis
