I don't think that I have ever tried to post to sage-release via slrn. I just tried, and at least I was able to edit a response (but I didn't submit it, in order to avoid creating spam). And actually I was not aware that sage-release is gwene while sage-devel, sage-support and sage-combinat-devel are gmane.
