Oh!!! wait nevermind.  It took me a little while to figure it out but
now i've got it!!!!  When did the TinyMCE editor come into sage
notebook?!  I really hope this feature hasn't been here this whole
time and I never knew about.  I would feel .... a bit old if that were
true.
